Description of the job

A vacancy for an internship titled: Use of Simulation for New Maintenance Concepts (m/f) has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Toulouse.
The successful candidate will join the simulation department.
This department develops simulation products for research, design, test and integration of aircraft systems, as well as for training of pilots and maintenance.
This internship will start on January 2018 (subject to some flexibility) and is for a duration of 6 months.
This internship is offered in the context of the definition of the architecture of future maintenance systems of Airbus aircraft:
You will assess the feasibility of using simulation means to test new maintenance system concepts and the associated maintenance algorithms.
You will build a demonstrator based on the simulation platform of A350 systems.
A MBSE approach will be adapted for this study that will cover both the design of the simulation application and the business process in which the simulator will be used.
From a method point of view, you will assess the MBSE approach for the design of the modification of an existing product and its adaptation to the developments of incremental systems

Your main tasks and activities will include:
* Capturing the needs of the design office
* Identifying and selecting technical solutions
* Developing a demonstrator

Required skills

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
* Educated 5-year degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology and Aeronautics.
* Good knowledge of the model-based engineering approach and of aeronautics
* Good experience in JAVA, ECLIPSE and web development
* Good knowledge of real time simulation and IT
* Knowledge of modulation languages: UML and 6ML and modelling tools
* proactive, independent, inquisitive and a strong ability to work in a team
* Language skills: Negotiation level of English and/or negotiation level of French.
