Electrical Engineer (M/F)

Responsibilities

You will in charge of: 

  • Grid Connection Codes scouting & interpretations and innovative communication with System Operators in French speakers' countries with special focus on France and North Africa
  • Input Grid related market requirements to Vestas R&D ensuring future compliance and effectiveness of Plant offerings
  • Coordinate technical support to Sales Dept. during contract negotiation and bid definition in relation to electrical and grid requirements in order to comply with the applicable standards and technical specifications of the customer
  • Participation in team selling approach and building value in each appropriate project and different customer profiles
  • Technical review of the customers' tender documentation and related risk mitigation on project specific basis
  • Define business case optimization and value engineering initiatives for Grid Plant offerings
  • Contractual Annex preparation
  • Motivate technical support to the Project Manager during the project construction phase in relation to electrical and grid requirements specific of the project
  • Improve the technical implementation of the plant control system allowing the grid compliance of the plants
  • Technical meetings with customers, contractors, grid operators & utilities
  • Qualification

  • M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience from System Operators (like RTE and ENEDIS) or power system industry or wind industry
  • Knowledge about grid connection code requirements, HV, MV equipment and Substation design, power system stability, control and analysis.
  • Knowledge about electrical simulation SW like PSS-E, Power Factory and Energy Market in France will be interested.
  • French & English language, both written and spoken.

  • Ability to network and influence with Grid Operators, fostering and securing Vestas products ability to comply with existing and coming grid codes
  • Team spirit. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Confidence talking with and presenting to external stakeholders (customers, grid operators, conferences) 
  • Excellent technical skills with emphasis in problem solving. Able to multitask and prioritize daily work under a fast-paced environment. Ability to summarize technical topics for non-technical stakeholders
  • Good travel disposition (about 15% of time) in support of customer needs and overall business objectives
