As part of the BL Motor Network and Business Support team, we are looking for our next intern  Data & Business Analyst M/F

We are looking for a dynamic intern with an analytical mindset as well as initial business experience to join us and help us revamp and expand our data architecture and business analysis across the Roadside Assistance and Mobility business unit for any data size.

Reporting to the Head of Data & BI on the following activities of "Motor & Mobility": 

1) Create immediate data and BI solutions for business users with the current data model and existing ad hoc data - with a focus on automation and streamlining processes

a. Operational performance: Supplier network, call centers ....
b. Deep analytical data in support cases to identify savings and fraud detection
c. Roadside assistance statistics: geolocation, frequency by car type, etc.
d. The transversal unit reports to the Directorate General ....

2) Refine business needs for data and BI and propose solutions for 1) internal reporting 2) partner/customer friendly reporting 

a. Gather requirements from 1) data model 2) reports 3) frequency, etc.
b. Assess implications for data model and appropriate configuration (tool, location, etc.)
c. Propose solutions, build and iterate

3) Act as the business voice for the transformation program to lead and monitor the implementation of the new data model through iterative prototyping and phased deployment of data models and tools 
a. Develop and evolve the data model prototype: from initial prototype to final delivery, tracking progress on individual tools and their underlying data model 
b. Working with the different tools and databases: Salesforce, Ivalua (supplier tool), Easy territory, Digital tracking assets, proprietary algorithms etc...
c. Questioning and examining the effectiveness of the data model architecture; monitoring data model developments 
d. Develop and maintain its own roadmap based on priority needs and data availability and transformation

4) Deploying business analysis to different users: onboarding, educating, training, coaching, supporting

a. Onboard and train new and experienced users on 1) the data model and underlying data 2) big data tools: PowerBI 
b. Prototype and industrialize dashboards with users for different audiences
c. Train users for more advanced use and specific developments requiring assistance 
d. Maintain the data model (including dictionaries and data marts) and the overview of the report/dashboard architecture for all teams
e. Support ad hoc requests to enable each team to perform business analysis 
f. Implement data governance principles and ensure data ownership by relevant stakeholders.

5) Oversee business analytics developments and drive convergence and alignment with other teams to produce senior management dashboards across all business areas 


To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills: 
- Previous work experience in analytical and data-driven jobs
- A strong academic background - ideally a statistic, engineering or MIAGE school
- Extensive experience of databases, data manipulation and analysis
- Commercial acumen, with an affinity for B2B2C business 
- An entrepreneurial, digital, and industrial mindset, but agile
- Ability to work with short- and medium-term goals, as well as on multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills, tenacity, and enthusiasm
- Good level of maturity in people interfacing skills, working both in different cultures and at different levels of the organization; ability to convince and influence people, to demonstrate effective leadership with the ability to encourage others and move towards a common vision or goal
- Very good knowledge of big data and information management tools (Python, Power BI) and MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint) 
- Must be fluent in English. Another language (French, Spanish) is an asset
